3 Ways to Reprice Your Inventory for Steady and Profitable Book Sales

Repricing is another important part of running this business. Prices fluctuate up and down on Amazon so you have to update your prices periodically to stay competitive. 

There are several ways to do this. You can edit the prices of your books on Amazon Seller Central under manage inventory. The benefit to repricing this way is that you can see right in front of you what the fees are and what your breakeven price is. This is especially helpful for books that have sat in inventory for a long time and are going to start collecting long term storage fees. 

You can reprice these books at or close to break-even and give them a chance to sell before disposing of them. The cons of repricing this way is that it takes a long time and you can't see Keepa charts or all the available offers on the page so you have to click to open the item in a new tab and navigate around the Amazon website to view the FBA offers.

Another option is to run an automatic repricer

Repriceit will edit the prices of your books on a schedule according to templates which you create which saves time. You can create different pricing rules for different categories of books. You can reprice acceptable books, books over a certain rank, books that haven't sold after a certain amount of time, etc, more aggressively. Unfortunately, since the repricer is a program it will do exactly what you tell it to do and won't recognize exceptions the way a human eye would. 

Another option is Nuprice which is a repricing software that displays the Keepa chart and the current Amazon offers right on the page for you similar to the way ScoutIQ does. You still have to manually reprice but you have better information in front of you which speeds up the process drastically.
